About Fibreshed Ireland
Fibreshed Ireland is a non-profit organisation and affiliate of the international Fibershed movement. We are dedicated to developing an bioregional textile community across the island of Ireland. Our mission is to rebuild local supply chains by connecting regenerative farmers, wool growers, flax processors, spinners, weavers, and makers.
By utilizing local soil, native plants, and traditional craft, we champion textiles that are healthy for ecosystems and people. We focus on natural fibres and botanical dyes that can return safely to the earth at the end of their lifecycle. Visit our stand at Fields Good to learn about our regional network, see demonstrations of local fibre processing, and discover how we can transition Ireland from a globalized textile model to a resilient, soil-to-soil clothing system.
