About Klaus Laitenberger
Klaus Laitenberger is widely regarded as the authoritative voice of organic horticulture in Ireland. Originally from Southern Germany, he moved to Ireland in 1999 and has spent decades pioneering sustainable, chemical-free food production across the country.
As a speaker at the upcoming Fields Good Festival, Klaus brings unparalleled practical expertise, having served as Head Gardener at the Organic Centre in County Leitrim and leading the extensive garden restoration project at Lissadell House in County Sligo. He holds an MSc in Organic Farming, acts as an inspector for the Organic Trust, and recently founded Tilled Earth, an organic education hub and edible garden project in County Mayo.
He will be hosting a stall showcasing his highly acclaimed, self-published gardening books—all curated under his own label, Milkwood Publishing:
