About Seedability
Seedability’s objective is to increase the planting of pollinator – attracting Irish wildflowers, which will help to keep wildflowers native and start to make a positive impact on the declining insect population.
With 75% of all flowering plants dependent on wild pollinating insects like bees, butterflies, moths, beetles and hoverflies and in turn, £690 million worth of crops dependent on pollinators annually. The loss of pollinating insects could potentially threaten the food crops we depend on. Worryingly, funding this role, as humans would cost an estimated £1.8 billion per year. (Ritchie).
Pollinators are so important to our biodiversity. We can all make a difference, one seed at a time.
