Outdoor Activities
Soil Health HQ
Kevin (KPM Soils), Tom Fairfax (Mindrum Farm), Ryan Harkin (Siolta Chroi) and Andrew Sincock (Agriton) will be sharing their knowledge on soil microscopy, composting, making extracts and Korean Natural Farming ferments. Demo sessions will run throughout the day, details will be at the Soil Health HQ tent.
Soil Inspection Pit
The soil inspection pit will have timed talks throughout the day, teaching how to read your soil profile and understand how your parent rock material affects you soil. Farm CarbonToolkit will lead the morning session and Robbie Byrne (Precision Nutrition) will lead the afternoon session.
Field Walk
Niels Corfield will be taking a guided field walk, where he will speak about how to read your soil in the field. Looking at what root structure can tell us, worm counts, soil structure and infiltration of water potential. Time TBC, look for details on the main programme sign near entrance on the day.
Agroforestry
A dedicated agroforestry marquee will host one-to-one consultations with The Soil Association and. Dr. Jim Mc Adam (Irish Agroforestry Forum), Jim will also offer a guided walk to an agroforestry site. The Woodland Trust will be exhibiting here also and on hand to answer any of your questions. Any other sessions on agroforestry will be displayed at their marquee on the day.
Plant Displays
DLF, Germinal and Barenbrug will be exhibiting at Fields Good. Helping you select the best plant mix for your enterprise and sharing the latest in seed developments and research. There will be a fantastic variety of plant displays with visible root structures.
