About Andrew Wright

Andrew Wright is a dairy farmer, tech developer, and farmfluencer, from Omagh, County Tyrone. Blending hands-on farming with innovative technology and social media to address the challenges facing agriculture.
Andrew runs a 130-hectare family farm with around 180 cows, he has a passion for building affordable, farmer-focused technology. Known online as Farm Theory, Andrew shares his journey of merging practical agriculture with self-taught electronics, programming, and 3D printing.
In 2021, he founded FarmTheory Ltd, creating bespoke tools to tackle everyday farming challenges. His flagship product, the FieldTheory GPS & nutrient-mapping system, delivers high-accuracy guidance and fertiliser mapping at a fraction of the usual cost. He’s also developed a slurry flow-rate controller, a cattle water-intake monitor, a milk-price comparison app, and smart automation systems that save his own farm time and money.
Through TikTok, YouTube, and speaking events, Andrew gives farmers an inside look at how technology can improve efficiency, cut costs, and make data-driven decisions more accessible. His work bridges the gap between the cowshed and the code editor, driven by the belief that tech should work for farmers, not the other way around.
At Fields Good you will find Andrew speaking on the panel; “Are All Farmers Regenerative & Does It Really Matter”.
