About Becky Cole
Becky Cole, co-owner of Broughgammon Farm in Ballycastle, co. Antrim, is a regenerative gardener, folk herbalist, forager, author, and educator. After leaving the corporate world, Becky returned to the 48‑acre family farm, rethinking its future through nature-centred practices. She founded a popular Nature Kids Club, introducing children to gardening, cooking, crafts, and seasonal foraging, all designed to reconnect younger generations with where food comes from .
Becky is also the author of The Garden Apothecary (Hardie Grant, 2022), a beautifully illustrated guide to crafting teas, tinctures, and skincare from garden and hedgerow herbs. She leads regular farm-based “Re-wilding and Hedgerow Medicine” walks, botanical beauty & healing workshops, and online programs through her Rooted membership, all rooted in permaculture and biodiversity.
A familiar voice on BBC Radio 2’s Vanessa Feltz Show and guest on podcasts such as The Good Dirt, Becky combines practical farming with gentle artistry. Her work is featured in Country Living and The Sunday Times, where she inspires audiences to cultivate abundance, slow living, and resilience, one foraged sprig and one thoughtful recipe at a time.
At Fields Good, Becky will share her storied journey through no‑dig gardens, wildcrafted remedies, and the nourishment found in growing and gathering on the wild Northern Irish coast.
