About Bronagh Dempster

Not coming from a farming family, Bronagh finished her degree in agriculture with a passion for sustainable farming. This is reflected in her current role as Farm Sustainability Technical Manager at Dale Farm. Her particular interests lie in finding efficiencies, nutrient management and improving soil health. Alongside her career, Bronagh also works part time on two dairy farms and has started her own herd of beef cattle. Focussing on low input native, the herd is still small at 6 cattle but following reseeding and some improvements made this year, the hope is to grow further. The eventual goal would be selling meat directly to customers.

At Fields Good, Bronagh will be participating in the panel discussion, Seeds of Change – How do the next generation of farmers respond to the day’s events and see their own future in agriculture.
