About Cathal Donnelly

Cathal Donnelly’s background includes Bsc in Environmental science with Marine studies , a Level 6 Certificate in Agriculture, and a range of hands-on roles, from surf instructor to locksmith and carpenter. I’ve also spent time at sea as a member of the scientific crew onboard the Irish research vessel Celtic Explorer and worked with the Marine and Fisheries Division of DAERA in Northern Ireland. This diverse experience along with a childhood spent on my grandas beef cattle farm has shaped my practical, down-to-earth approach to farming.
Mulroy Meadow Farm is run by myself and my wife Michelle who is a pharmacist, we focus on regenerative practices that rebuild soil health and create a more sustainable food system. We’re passionate about sharing our knowledge of the environment, regenerative farming and the link between our food sources and health through our farm tours and educational programs.
At Fields Good, you can find Cathal in the Horticulture marquee, where he will share a mini talk. The schedule will be signposted by the marquee on the day.
