About Dr Pippa Hackett

Pippa Hackett is an organic suckler beef and sheep farmer from Co Offaly, where she farms with her husband Mark and four children. They also have forestry, horses and hens. They have been successfully implementing mob grazing and winter bale grazing, and support nature as much as possible throughout their farm. She has been a long time supporter of regenerative agriculture, and as a former Minister of State in the Department of Agriculture, championed significant growth in the organic sector. She also put supports in place for farmers to implement soil friendly multi-species swards, red clover silage and agro-forestry, and in 2024 drove funding for 11 four-year farmer-led projects on sustainable agriculture.
