About Dr. Réamaí Mathers

Dr. Réamaí Mathers is an environmental scientist and the head of Aspen Consultants, specialising in ecological processes, community development, and sustainable agriculture across Ireland. Aspen Consultancy delivers high quality environmental impact studies, habitat assessment and remediation plans. This includes delivery strategies, feasibility studies, advice and training in the areas of biodiversity, agriculture, tourism, cultural heritage, sociolinguistics and more. Their mission is to combine innovative ideas and realistic solutions, with the principles of sustainability. Réamaí has over thirty years’ experience working in the environmental field, he has more than 15 years management experience in community planning and education sectors. He holds a PhD from Queen’s University Belfast, where he is currently a Visiting Scholar in the School of Natural and Built Environment.
