About Josiah Meldrum

Josiah Meldrum cofounded Hodmedod in order to increase the diversity of British-grown pulses and grains in fields and on plates. Hodmedod has grown from a trial in Norwich that asked whether people would be willing to eat UK-grown beans and peas, to a national business championing forgotten foods like carlin peas and introducing farmers to new crops like lentils – all within the context of agroecology; supporting low-input rotations that prioritize soil health and transparent supply systems.
